What would come to your mind if your boss would say the following to you:
“You’ll have to keep riding his arse!”

In a full meeting room.

Did I just hear that correctly? (and we were talking about a person of whom I’d definitely stay clear of that particular part of the body ;-))I guess the look on my face was self-explanatory. After I managed to squeeze out the words “Did you… just say… riding…his…arse?”, hilarity ensued, red faces and laughter across the table made for another enjoyable meeting.

Oh and another frequent expression sending very wrong visuals to my already befuddled brain:
“We’ll have to suck it and see”
