(s)milestones and flashbacks…

This past weekend was all about celebrating Bram as he said “goodbye twenties, hello thirties”.
Even though it was the first time he’d be able to enjoy some sunshine on his actual birthday, I knew he’d miss celebrating with most of his friends. And since they are living on the other end of the world I couldn’t even plan surprise calls as day is night and vice versa!

So I asked everyone instead if they could send in videos and pictures. And you guys were up for the challenge, brilliant! Just goes to show how popular Bram is – and how awesome his friends are of course! More fun editing work for me, results below ;-)

So what happened the big weekend itself?
On Saturday we had a little surprise ‘Wii Partii’ for Bram, with cake supplied by our new sous-chef Eva:

Thanks to Bram’s dad who sent in a heap of creepy baby pictures, I was able to show Bram how old 30 really is…
From 0 to 30 in 3 minutes:

On Sunday I dragged Bram onto a ferry headed for a surprise lunch with a view of the Sydney harbour, where he had to guess what his present was.  For those who want to know, there’s a puzzle in the set of pictures!

Also, in August my dad gave me a precious bottle of WestVleteren Trappist, voted best beer in the world.  Which Bram saved for 4 MONTHS for that one special occasion… well worth it.  During the ‘degustation’ I showed him what you guys contributed (and the many bloopers behind it):

Thanks everyone so much for your help and sending your wishes!!!
