Europe vs Australia

Sometimes people who plan to visit us, ask if it’s doable to travel around and see all of Australia…in 2 weeks.
Guess what our answer is:
Size of Australia vs EuropeInland is occupied by  2 big deserts, but still, if you’d want to see some of the red country, you’d have to take the route from Darwin to Adelaide (or part thereof). To most people, I’d recommend making a big 8, which will take you at least 8 weeks. Add to that Tasmania and you could round it up in 10.

Bram and I are spreading those over a couple of years or so :).
Today we’re leaving for a roadtrip from Sydney down the coast to the border with Victoria and back up via the Snowy Mountains and Canberra. If our Tokkie is up for it:

To everyone a Merry Christmas and best wishes for 2010, see you then!
